Terms of use

By using Seaglass or this website, you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them short.

Seaglass isn’t treatment

Seaglass is a day counter and a journal. It isn’t medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it isn’t a recovery program. The health timeline is general information from the sources it links to, not advice for you. Stopping some substances suddenly, such as alcohol or benzodiazepines, can be dangerous, so talk to a doctor first.

If you need support, talk to a doctor or a local service. Our helplines page lists free, confidential lines. If you’re in danger, call your local emergency number.

Using the app

You may use Seaglass for your own, personal use. Please don’t copy, resell or reverse engineer it, or use it to break the law.

If you got Seaglass from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.

The one-time unlock

One tracker is free with every feature. A one-time purchase ($4.99 in the US; the store shows your local price) unlocks more trackers. There’s no subscription. Purchases, refunds and free codes are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. You can restore the unlock on another phone signed in to the same Apple or Google account, on the same kind of phone: a purchase on iPhone doesn’t carry over to Android, or the other way round.

Your data

What you enter stays on your phone and belongs to you (see the privacy policy). Because we never have a copy, we can’t recover it if your phone is lost or the app is deleted. Keep a backup: export a file now and then, or use your phone’s or Seaglass’s backup.

No guarantees

We work hard to make Seaglass accurate and reliable, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Counts, money totals and milestones are estimates based on what you enter. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage from using or not being able to use Seaglass or this website. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law where you live that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If you keep using Seaglass after that, the new terms apply.
